Mornin PSAR, well Julies problem with her eye turned out to be worse than I ever imagined. We had thought it was just allergies acting up when we were down in florence. It just kept getting worse and worse. She has been to the eye specialist every day this week so far as well as the MD's and they have determined she has a fungus type of infection in her eye. At one point they were not sure if she would lose her eye or not. They have saved her eye but she may still have a permanent vision loss in the eye, and scar tissue at the very least. They can't tell us for sure what caused it, but it may be something she was using with her contacts. We have been having to put 3 different kinds of medication in her eye every hour on the hour day and night two different kinds of special drops and a paste. She goes back in today at 11:00 am again for some kind of procedure. Monday they had to scrape her eye to remove the fungus and she is in a great deal of pain. They said yesterday that there was a slight improvment so she is responding to the meds. It kills me to see her hurting so bad and there's nothing I can do to help her. To add insult to injury the focking insurance company is not paying for the special meds as they are compounded and non formulary. Poor thing, she has a nasty sinus infection to boot so she's double miserable. I'll keep everone posted as to how she's doing.
