Rancher I think it would be better for you to stay home on the 1st and then come out on the 2nd. Your not supposed to celebrate the day after your anniversery. And it might help you out in the long run!
I don't care what campsite I am in, so if wingy want to use that one for his friends, just relocate me !
Good Morning PSAR!
Starting the 10th of this month Rancher is my Boss!! He is such a piece of crap! Just don't tell him that

Before we went to St A's 2 people that went with us went and bought 700's also. Justin took one of the 700's over to his buddy's house where he got his down at and the computer wouldn't download it. They had to use a different computer. Then just acouple of weeks ago they brought the 3 700 over and tried to download and it again would not download onto the quad. Now my question is, can you only download one PCIII software to one computer? I hope that makes since. Basically do you have to use a different computer for each 700? The third 700 is still not downloaded and he is thinking about just going and getting a very long cord so he can put the cord out the window to his quad. LOL (computers upstairs)

I do reccommend you have windows 2000 or XP as the OS as Win9X USB funconality leaves a lot to be desired.
First thing to try is to have the quad sitting there running before you plug in the USB cord and then open the Power Commander software, if you don't you will get an error msg.
Then you should be able to open the map file from your PCIII folder on your hard drive select the desired map and then click send map. That's how it works for me and I've done it on Multiple 700R's from my Laptop.

Wing i know you were talking about going, you guys still in?
We will be camping at the big gravel pit as usual.

The pc3 should have a 9v adapter so you can unplug it from the bike and bring it inside (short cord)

Removing the PCIII is a major PITA to do once it is installed on the quad. I used my 9V adaptor one time when I first got the PCIII before I installed it. USB Cord to the PCIII and quad running is the easiest way to do it.
They need to make a quick release harness for the Power Commander for people that don't have lap tops or long azzed USB cords. I would rather take a beating than pull the PCIII of the quad every time I wanted to play with the map.

Justin was saying that they were getting some error msg when they tried to send it. That's probably what they did wrong. I will let Justin know. Now what exactly does the 9v adaptor do? does it store then software on the adaptor then you bring the adaptor down tot the quad and load it on that way?

No, all the 9V adapter is is a power source to preload a map on the PCIII via the usb cable from the computor prior to installing it on the quad.

I just talked to Justin and i told him exactly what you said. He said that they might of had the cord plugged in before starting the quad. He said thanks for all the info, on helping him download these quads.
