So the spa lid shows up about 1500, I put it on and it fits great, she is all wiped clean with a new lid I fill it full of water (it's a 500 Gallon Tub) turn on the juice, tub fires up. The heater is running and I hit the jets. The 2nd pump is air locked which i kinda figured would happen to I take a pair of channel locks and loosen the pipe air lock is free and everything is running great I go to tighten the pipe back down and bust the plastic plug off the pump. so I stand up to notice that when I hit the jets it blew all kinds of nasty floaties (filled the tub with nasty chit) Now I have to drain it wipe it down again. pull the pump get a new plug and do it all over again

Good Grief what a chatty group! Been gone since last Friday and did the "Ketchup" (to quote a local chatty person) thing. Folks having birthdays, happy wishes to these, Jenna in the hospital, prayers and best wishes of course, dirty tee shirt stories, not gonna get involved with that but would say that small packets of baby wipes work wonders , warning from Bear about another grab by the opposition, needs prompt action with letters to elected officials, rides and rants, all worth knowing about.
Our visit to the farm was fun with a day spent making tamales, Daughter-in-law teaching new skills to the other cooks. Win/win situation from my point of view. They made chicken, pineapple and bean tamales. Three big steamers full. Ate a bunch and still lots in the freezers. We had a couple of big gatherings of family and friends, had to go buy twenty plates to have enough to go around, and ate way too much good stuff.
One of the tailgate cables on the S-10 broke while I was unloading my quad at the farm. Good thing the other one held so their was no damage other than the cable. I had had it inspected just a couple of months back per the recall Chev had issued. Shop here in Seattle said the cables were fine and they would not be replaced. Took it to a dealership in The Dalles and they replaced them. Rotten customer service, took it in at 0830 and it was to be out in an hour. Got it back at noon. By the time I got done complaining, which I started at 1000, they had offered me a free oil change and wash with detail. Told them it would be a cold day in ell when I would trust a shop so poorly run to do any more work on any of our rigs. There was a letter of apology in the mail when I got back to Seattle. They want me to stop at their dealership to "discuss this situation". Like that's gonna happen. End of Rant.
Bottom line on this is I did find out you do not have to settle for having the cables inspected as suggested. If you have one of the recalled pickups, and they said everything from '92 thru '04 were on the list, you can tell them you want the new stainless cables and they will put them in for you. Dealerships don't like doing it because they loose money on the change-out.
Bear: Did you fill the freezer yet? Ready for a ride during the week next week? Anyone else?
