I know a walk in area a lil farther south that all the pick up truck hunters and chit scare all the deer into however without a horse Its a long friggin walk. up hill. I had to laugh. we were up there bow hunting a couple years back on the horses and were about 20 miles in and there is this army dude with his backpack and bow just trekkin. Thats pretty gungho when its freezing rain and blowin about 35+. he had a bad shot on his deer and was trakking it and kinda lost track of time. helped him find his deer and got him off the mountain..
I little farther south like olympia or a little farther south on 7?

That's not a bad idea, I know there are deer out there where I have been but they get down in the thickets and you can't even walk through there or see 5 ft in front of you, it makes it pretty tought to get a kill
Blacktail deer=toughest deer on the planet to hunt, much less get.

Or muzzle loader or revolver. Why the hell would you need a rifle to kill anything in this state?
