I have a gun rack set up on my quads that puts the long gun on either your right of left side next to your thigh. Works well, gun stays in place and was cheap to create. I don't know how to do the link thing but look here.

That scares me though to have it trapping my leg on the mochine
Not likely ever to happen. The front cup is plastic is bolted to a plastic fender and the cup has a foam insert that will break easily. The rear "U" is aluminum and I broke one this last week clipping a sapling about an inch and a half in diameter. So the worst you will have happen is you dump your gun in the mud or dirt with you on top of it. You shouldn't be riding that hard or fast anyway with a gun onboard, at least in my lowly opinion. I've used this set up for 2 years on both our quads and the wife and myself haven't even had a close call, much less a fall off or a roll on to the side.

Originally posted by: tencubed Made it to the farm in just over four hours this AM. It was 20 Deg. at the well head at 0930 with a strong east wind blowing. Checked out the pump and it was OK, turned out to be the starter so not bad to repair. I had stopped in Yakima and picked up some spares just in case. Took a couple of hours for the whole thing. Much quicker and easier than I expected. Came back over this afternoon and got caught in the rush hour mess. What fun!
Glad to hear it wasn't that big of a problem, now that rush hour traffic mess, something a retired person shouldn't have to deal with
