The 250ex's are nice you don't have a "clutch" but you just shift w/ your foot, nice ride too, BUT you may get bored of it REAL quick unfortunetly!! I outgrew my 300ex pretty quick!! But the 250's like I said are nice little quads

this it what it says

There's probably no ATV more perfectly suited to both experienced and new riders. Why? Two words: the Honda SportClutch?, our exclusive, stall-proof feature that lets seasoned riders enjoy the full performance and control of a conventional manual clutch while also allowing beginners to navigate the learning curve free of anxiety about stalling. What better way to hone one's skills and have fun at the same time?

it also says
recon is automatic and the 300ex is manual so i was guessing maybe it was both??????

Good Morning PSAR
Happa, glad you are home and that you are being well takin care of. We had a great day at Moses on Saturday w/ RR. We came home yesterday and barely made it over the pass before they shut it down. It looks like we have a blown engine in the little Z250, so now I have another thing to fix.

That's good news about the pass , bad news about the 250
