Take my advice all you youngsters.
Start reading the information available for Medicare and all the various part A, B and D options at least a couple of months ahead of your sign up date. Been messing with this for the last month and still finding options and problems.
Set up you Social Security account with an online password, takes a couple of weeks to do this, so you can avoid having to wait several days for answers. You can do this at any age and now is not too soon.
What an unbelievable screwed up system for people to have to navigate. Best thing has been the extremely helpful and knowledgeable young woman at the local SS office.
