LJ and RR. Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated. I took a few things apart and cleaned them up and blew the dust out of things. Now it works. We decided to wipe everything out that was on the disks as SWMBO had already bought a new laptop to take to work with her.

Dug out the recovery disks for the Sony and did that and have the applications disks nearly done. Can't figure out where we "filed" the disk for the wireless hookup. Getting to dang late so will look into that tomorrow.
