That is exactly why we are not going. I swear Justin and Regan are afraid to ride in the rain. Last year it POURED, though! I think we only got acouple of hours of riding in, in 5 days. It was so bad, i had all my rain gear on and it leaked through in a matter of seconds. I had 5 pairs of gloves and they were only good for maybe 5 minutes tops. It feels weird not packing to go down there for Thanksgiving. Have fun MB, TP, RG, baby TG and of course Jeffy!

That looks awesome Andre...have you raced it yet?
not raced yet, i just got it put together... finally. we bagged out on the last test & tune day of the season at bremerton drag strip B/C the transmission wasn't shifting properly.

that is pretty wild,,,,,does it hook up?
It should make 1.5-1.6 60' times wonce i've got it dialed in... i've been studying what others are doin to make them hook.... it shouldn't be a big problem.

a supercharger in this car would put me into the 10's with a little tuning. I'm not ready to go THAT fast... I have a mild cam on the shelf that should be about right to get me to the 11..5xx goal. once dialed I should be able to make high 11's with my current setup.
following NHRA rules, I can go to 11.50's (~120MPH) and not need a roll bar.

SAWEEEEET Man that makes me miss my old RX-7 I had the exact car when I met Ron, it went thru hell haha, now I still have an 85' Old body style!! I"ll have to show Ron those pics hmmmm maybe we outta throw a V-8 in er & drag race it
kits are available to help make it a reality... a 302 ford fits in a 1st generation RX7 nicely. you don't loose the handling like many would have you think. they make great road race & autocross cars after the swap... all depends on what you want to do & how you set it up...

I went with the 2nd generation, cars can be had for cheap.... the chassis is better designed, but heavier. parts are still readily available, they're a popular drift & autoX car.... but with real power, they're real fun. I.E. not for the faint of heart.

SWAP KITS & info
Support Group... killer info & help on this swap
