Old PSAR thread - please see the new one

Thought I'd pass it along............................
Attention to ATV riders that ride at the Ahtanum!
The DNR is working on making the Grey Rock Trail motorcycle trail wide enough for quads to use. They need some volunteers or they may drop the project. They just had a meeting on Nov 15th and Vanessa Seldal the DNR Recreation Program Manager said, "We have been working on improvements to the Grey Rock Trail. That's something that we're lacking is interaction with the ATV community".
Please contact me if you would like to help keep this project going.

There's a huge Public Storage right across the street from Wingdude's workplace. After Boeing Feild take the first exit, left at the light (back over the freeway), left at next light (Martin Luther King Blvd), left into first driveway, Pacific Lighting is first building on left.

tne, hi there, I looked at the map of the 1000 Trails in Florence and the map of the S. Jetty dunes and here's my opinion. Don't know how to link, but if you go here, http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/siuslaw/recr...ra/index.shtml, this will take you to a map of the S. Jetty riding area. On the right side of the map there is a bracket titled Sand Camping Sites, S. Jetty Access Map and the 1000 Trails campground should be about at the end of the west pointing leg of the bracket along S. Jetty Road. Don't know if they have sand access so you might have to trailer a couple of miles to the staging areas. Hint: If you have anyone with a Golden Age Passport (62 and over costs, $10 at forest service office in Florence) it is good for parking at the staging areas along with a whole bunch of other stuff across the US. Good luck with your search and look forward to a having a good time.
I'm close enough to day trip it.(don' know how to put the smilely face in either)
