Just out walking the dog. Neighbor came out and said this occurred about two blocks from our place. News choppers hovering around for about five minutes.

What is it with people that they don't follow the instructions the see on TV, newspapers and on most gensets.

Where SWMBO works is still without power and running on the genset. at least they have a decent sized unit and a transfer switch system. The outfit that sells them propane for the genset and furnace raised the price of propane by a buck a gallon during the storm recovery time just because they can. What a bunch of jerks. Limited funds for disabled folks and they take advantage of it. Have to find out what company it is and let you all know.

That roof piledriver trick is about as dumb as anything I've ever seen. Those boys definitely spawned out in the shallow end of the gene pool.

Sounds like a company to be denied business if possible. As far as a gene pool? Probably a bucket, that somebody peed in. I forget the comedian that said it (probably Foxworthy), Most redneck deaths immediately follow the words, "HEY YA'LL WATCH THIS!
Foxworthy all right. I think the full quote is "Here, hold my beer and watch this sh==".

I beleave it would be safer to say they didn't graduate.
Hey now, I would never do that with my 8th grade education

They said there was a language barrier, maybe they couldn't read or understand how the genny was to be used

Very possible. I see on the news that they now have instructions in several languages about CO poisoning from charcoal, gensets and such. Not sure who is handing these out.

Apparently, according to the news they had the genset in the living room. Seems like the smell and burning eyes would have told them something.

Just talked to our son in Mazatlan, it's 78 to 80 F and threatening to rain a little tomorrow. I think the weather report was the major reason for calling. Trying to get us to come down for a visit.

Hard to run power tools without electricity. You wouldn't know this because Val keeps ALL power tools away from you for fear of self injury!
I'll ride in the rain, just not a downpour. And you were posting something about possibly messing up more things in your house instead of riding?

Oh yeah, and if I "manned up" like you, I'd have to give my nads to Cindy to keep in her purse!

Most, if not all, of the CO poisonings are caused by ignorance, not stupidity. I learned at a very young age the dangers of exhaust gasses, taught to me by my father! "Pull my finger"!
