king, i know it wasn't you.... i made a booboo installing them shortly before going to glen helen... it just took me this long to find it.

OK, think I have it figured out, King was hammering through the parking lot on Dual-Sporters Gas Gas at Goldendale as parts were falling off behind him [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions about the heat shield. Sounds like I have a few options to experiment with.

 

I was trying to think of a good solution,,,,I have had the same problem with every piped bike ive owned.

Ive never really fixed the problem,,,,just kept melting my rain pants.

You could weld some nuts to your exhaust,,,in the right spot,,,and then fasten the stock gaurd to the LRD with some shorty bolts.
