Old PSAR thread - please see the new one
If I am looking at a used '06 Z400 that needs tires for $4800, would it be smarter to just get a new one for a grand more. The bikes tires are worn out (all 4), so it has been ridden a whole lot already

There has got to be something up, aside from jetting. The spark plugs fail and a hole in the piston...... Was there contact?

I just did a quick search on atvtrader and i came up with acouple. One is in lynnwood for $4699, another is in Port angeles for $3799. Those are both 2003. Another quad to check out is the kawi 400's. They are basically the same exact quad. There is one on atvtrader that is really nice. Has nerf bars, pipe, etc. I didn't get the price though.

Don't recall anything about an airstrip near your home. Only places around Seattle I have flown are Marrymore Park and a private strip near Arlington.
As to the crashes, there is a saying that there are three kinds or RC airplanes. Those that have crashed, those that are going to crash and those that don't fly. Lots of places that have flight lines also have area's for RC cars and trucks.
Where is this flight line located? Kind of like to get hooked up with a club in the area as the last group I joined has sort of fallen apart with the passing of several members. They were mostly folks older than me by several years.
Maybe your kids would like to learn to fly, I have a full set of trainer radios and some easy to fly planes.
