I was actually going to post the same exact thing. A co-worker just came and asked me how my neighbor did, but he didn't go. My co-workers boyfriend got a new reel, other than that I heard the top fish was over 22 pounds.

yep, top fish was 22 something

we had about 5 hours of fishing on saturday morning before the winds kicked up (45 knots) and made it really dangerous for everyone who needed to cross rosario strait

amazingly enough,,,everyone made it back safe,,,although some spent the night at other ports

we fished fidalgo head, thatcher pass, peavine and obstruction before we headed back across Rosario in 10'+ seas and worked our way around cypress island and down bellingham channel and back to anacortes

The weather was absolutely insane and very dangerous.

Only a few brave souls fished on sunday and i heard the weather was een worse. We yanked the boat at 6am to avoid being stuck in a line of 200 trailers that afternoon.

The event was a huge success,,,,over 750 entrants, with 150 fish caught.

All things considered,,,it was a blast.

Oh yeah,,,,we had one takedown,,,,but no fish.

I was thinkin the weather was lookin like it could get bumpy out there with the tides the waves will stack in a hurry if the wind is goin opposit the flow. They get short durations and Steep faces.. Gets exciting for sure in small boats
