Maybe the pay scale is lower down there, materials could be cheaper, cost of living is too high out west.

The set that crapped out was a 53", we need to go HDTV anyway and LCD is good, (we have a 32" LCD in the bedroom). Our Family Room is fairly large, nothing less than 60" would work

As you probably already know, TV's have gotten better and cheaper in the last five years. I would reccomend an LCD over a plasma to replace it and you will proabably spend less on the LCD today than you did on that big screen 5 years ago and not take up near as much space To me a 42' LCD is all the TV anyone would ever need.
Everyone I know with high end plasma's have had some sort of problem with them it seems like and have gone to LCD's. Because of this, I went with an LCD HDTV, the picture is excellent and Julie and I love it.

LCD's do not have a glare problem though, that can be present with a plasma if you have it in a room with a lot of sunlight.

Not cheap, but a reasonably priced for what you get. I have nothing but good to say about mine, I've towed it a lot of miles since I got it and it's been flawless

Hey Happa, if we want to take a trip to Georgia we can get enclosed trailers really cheap down there.
Let's borrow TP's work truck and take a trip!
