RANCHER why are you selling your wife's quad??????doesnt she ride at all?
She has rode it 4 times since we bought it and it was like pulling teeth to get her to go then. She is just not that into it so I figure there is no sense in paying for it if she is not going to ride. Plus that will give me some extra moola for me to get some HP mods
or a sporty
Thought about a Raptor 700 but I ride trails 90% of the time. After riding with sporties all the time watching them get stuck don't really think I want one. I ride by myself alot with the pooch so i need to be self contained 4WD with a winch incase i get myself in a pickle and there is noone else around to help me get out.
you ride alone????thats scarry....what if you got hurt out there and there is no one to help....
I have been stompin' around in the woods most of my life by myself, nothin really new for me. I always let the wife or somebody know where I am headed and I can live pretty well for a long time off the land.
And stored body fat.
Hmmm - - - I ride alone quite a bit and really don't see the problem doing it. Like Rancher I grew up spending a lot of time in the mountains on foot or horseback and never really thought about the "great danger" of being alone. With the quad I carry a good first aid kit, fire making stuff and enough food to get by for a few days. With water and a couple of cheap blue tarps a person should be able to get along for a number of days if need be. Most places my cell phone will get out if I go to high ground. This side of the state there seems to be someone along within a few hours no matter where you go. On the east side there are places where you could winter over and never see another person. I really think if a person rides in a reasonable fashion the odds of getting hurt or lost are less hazardous to your health than rush hour traffic in the Seattle metro area.

As far a living off stored body fat goes, I could probably last for a month or two. Maybe more.

Hey, I have 2 Polaris's, and I think they are very nice. They are on the heavy side, but that just helps them stay on their wheels more often than not.
i didnt say they were bad iv never had one....i just like my honnnddda if it doesnt break easy and keeps on runnin than id own one
I was more referring to OneFlyPostHo's "POOP" spelling.

Polaris people are like chevy people. You give em a hard time about their doors fallin off and their suspension sounding like its fallin apart and they get all self conscious. no differnt with pooplaris and people sayin their heavy turds and stuff
lmao i drive a chevy

Local canam dealer tried to rip me off and it's so dang expensive, so renegade is out.
Who and what happened?
You asked for it. Brothers Powersports in Bremerton. They offered to take the Norton in on trade and told me later that they were gonna give me 3k for it (worth 8 easy and i would probably sell it for 6) and they would give me 3500 for my 400ex (fair?). They told me 3500 was high blue book. I dont know but it's got very few miles on it and it has AC nerfs and bumper and acerbis hand guards and sandshark paddles. After all the trade in crap was reluctantly agreed on they bumped the price up to 11k after taxes. They said some stuff about restocking fees, set up fees, shipping, at this point I wasn't listening anymore and was walking out the door.
i WENT TO SELL MY SONS KFX80 back to the dealer, the bolt on accesoriies make no difference at all. Brenda and I went home, put all the stock stuff back on and got the same $.

I turned around and sold the aftermarket goodies and pull more $ in my pocket.
