Joel,
Thanks for use of your wrenches. Those axle nuts are so tight I still haven't been able to break them loose. Working up a sweat trying and had to take a break. Nice to meet you and talk with you. We will definately have to go for a ride or MANY RIDES! Put the 13t on the 450R, now I need to try it out.
Well, I guess I'll back to the garage and try to break that nut loose one more time!

Sure, Just have your sons freinds line-up (like a train legs open) then he has to crawl thru and each person gets to give a birthday SWAT......

make sure the crawl thru is going in the right direction or he will have a very bad HEADACHE..!!!!!!!

Rod, If the wrench won't do it you'll have to try a hammer and chisel. Its not a good option but it will work.

Thanks for the b-day wishes everyone. I don't think I need any b-day spankings though. My a$$ already hurts enough from the race yesterday.

Val,
It’s ok, don’t feel too bad for me. This race was what I wanted to do for my b-day. Being sore is just one of the consequences for someone my age. lol

I checked out the craptor today, and to my amazement, she survived both of yesterday's crashes very well. There was no real damage, just a couple more scratches to add character. I may have to stop referring to her as a craptor. That's three crashes in a month and no damage. I wish I could say the same for myself!

Anyway, what happened was I had just passed through the wind whoops. I was following another quad in 4th gear. We got to a really choppy area that was also extremely dusty. I couldn't see anything. I should have slowed down, but I didn’t. I was still going through a lot of chop and the next thing I knew, I went off one of those stupid little drop off’s, nose dived, and the craptor sent me flying. I don’t know for sure (because I closed my eyes when I hit the ground) but I think the craptor rolled. When I got up, it was about 20 feet away from me, rubber side down, and pointed in the opposite direction. I didn’t feel any pain right away; I was more worried about how embarrassing it would be if anyone saw me! I was really glad that the bike started up right away because that would have been a long walk back to the pits. But the more I rode, the more it hurt. By the time I got back to the pits I could hardly hold on to the handlebars. I do have to consider myself lucky, it could have been much worse. As Loki always says, any crash that you can walk away from is a good crash!

The owners of the track were so impressed with the quad turnout, that there is a very good possibility that they will make this an annual event.

So Marci, are you up for it again next year? I am!!!

How about trying some heat directed rite on the nut (gets the nut to expand) plus it cracks lose any locktite.
