Old PSAR thread - please see the new one
Got to the sandhill pit at about 10:00am and rode around there for about 3 hours. Couple of people checking the new quad, More people interested in the little kid tear a$$ing around the pit on his 50. Left there about 1:00pm, no Kat. Maybe next time huh? Thats 2
Good evening PSAR!
Gosh came over this morning and helped me crack the front half of the case... I need a Honda flywheel puller and an impact gun to further investigate the situation. I pulled the front brakes and they actually don't look to bad other than the drums were full of mud. I still want to convert to disk though. Right now I am looking at 1500+ to fix what I have so I am really thinking about the 650 conversion or the 420... time, possibilities and money will tell me what is possible. I will post some pictures later.

Good Evening PSAR
Back safe and sound from the dunes, tired, sore and sunburned, had a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It did rain at times, but I rode every day and only got wet twice, for a very short period of time. That's not counting Winchester, it was pouring with 35mph winds, we got drenched, that is the four diehards that chose to, LadyJay, RedRod, Rapbw01 and myself.
A huge thanks to everybody that helped me out here and there, you know who you are and what you did, too many good deeds to post.

Met the gang down at Wallyworld Friday night. Pulled in Saturday morning to Honeyman. Most of the gang rode Saturday, then Sunday, I did the Easter Brunch thingy with the family - very fun, got to visit a bunch. Monday and Tuesday was good riding. I had some buddies from rv.net there from Northern California - RealtorRider and I have an invitation to one of their gigs coming up. We had fun. I think Jayna kicked some butt though - the guys who tried to keep up with her were pretty sore!
Wednesday was too windy and cold at Winchester for me, but the other intrepid PSAR duners had a great ride! Wednesday night brought ugly weather to Coos Bay, but Chris and Sean stuck it out in their tents (kudos to you!)

Thursday and Friday were most excellent riding days. We did a couple of big rides. Went to spinreel for ice cream. Found the swing and I climbed the tree in my boots and riding gear and did the whole rope swing fun thing
The clutch in the ds said by-by and Karl towed it back with his pred. I piloted the beast and it was the first time I have been towed in (no I didn't break it! I was there for weight reasons ) Both preds ran great! I'm glad I brought the spare.
Some carnage - Rod Rod and his wife LISA both got hurt - Rod Rod not so bad, LISA got a huge owie. What was scary was she was just doing cookies on the flat wet sand at the beach (haven't we ALL done that???) The quad only ended up on its side (not even a roll-over) but LISA will be out for weeks/months. Our prayers are with her for sure. Other carnage? Larry was mighty sore and walking a little hunched over, but the old guy (you know I lub ya ) rocked!
It was a good trip. Oh, and my daddy was up from Cali and took us out to dinner Friday night (prime rib - yummy)
I can't wait to ride again - it was fun

I almost forgot! Larry ditched the gumby suit after we said we were gonna burn it as a sacrifice to the rain gods.
Val took him shopping and they picked out some spiffy riding gear that matched his quad.
It looked hot!

Man it was so nice when I got home!!!!! My pergo floor is FINALLY finished, the hallway door is installed, the bigazzedhole in the drywall (that I hid behind a bulletin board) is fixed, the french door is installed properly and the siding outside is fixed. I walked in and it was like, "oh, how nice is this ! " Got almost all of the laundry done and caught up on the doins of PSAR.
Gotta love that! Nighty-night all.
