Just some info I rec'vd via email from the Stumpjumpers
The Northwest Region of the Department of Natural Resources would like your input on the value of having an Education & Enforcement Officer. The DNR is applying for a grant to fund this position and input from the ORV community is critical for its success. The Stumpjumpers Motorcycle Club believes this is an important position that should be filled. Please take a few moments to read the informational flyer and send your comments to the DNR.
Thank You,
Rick Rice

I called them up Saturday when I got off work and they stayed open for me to look at it. I thought about it Sunday morning, then decided to buy it.

Jake has a Fulmer Rockstar black and chrome that we picked up at Hinshaws in Auburn for right around $70 also bought his neck roll there for about $20.
Also lots of practice in a large semi-controllable area with emphasis on throttle control, braking and getting to know and obey handsignals without questioning "why do U want me to stop? Cuz I see that big drop-off thats gonna eat U up.
I have spent and try spending alot of time with Jake out riding just the two of us so that he learns from me without distractions and will actually predict what I am about to do because of learning to read the situation.

Ok so after my wonderful day with Nick I have decided to get him a new helmet cause the one he has which is new is to big. Its a kids large and he needs an extra small. Can someone give me a list of stuff I can get to budle my bundle up and keep him safe. I am thinking new helmet and neck roll. He has a chest protector and boots and gloves. I got some knee and arm guards but they are to big for him. Any advice would be great thanks.

Gonna agree w/ Jay on this one we also spent LOTS of time w/ Trevor letting him ride in the yard(same w/ DJ when he was young) stopping, starting, making sure he KNOWS where the brakes are ect. I really don't think I would put a chatterbox on a young kid as it would be distracting? When we used to go trail riding when Trev was green we WOULD NOT ride where there were cliffs & if we had to we would ride on the steep side & if we went down a steep mountain Ron would have Trev 'tow" him, so if he got out of whack Ron could stop him!! It worked out well teaching him throttle/braking on big hills/mountains I would really just get him on the quad in a small area & work w/ him on stopping ect. & LISTENING TO MOM NO MATTER WHAT!!!
We didn't let Trevor ride by himself in Idaho until he was about 6 but had been going there since he was like 3 w/ his own quad, just for his safety, he would ride the rodeo but NOT the trails, now he rides the trails w/ us & heck he even passes me sometimes lil chit LOL
Good luck w/ him & REMEMBER LOTS & LOTS OF SEAT TIME IS THE BEST THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah & HAVE FUN are you going to have Nick up @ Easton?? Trev will be happy to meet him along w/ MB's kids' Brandon & Tye oh boy there will be lOTS of boys up there I smell trouble already LOL
