Helmet laws........ throwing Darwin a curveball, slowing the natural thinning process. TRUE
........................... taking away a persons "freedom"...........TRUE
............................helping prevent the loss of a loved one TRUE
............................potentially put in place to help save ATV riders right to ride? very possible it was put into place, as an alternative to the banning of ATV's.

Car seat / booster seat laws..... same as the top 3 above

Seat belt laws...ditto

the fact we cant fly with a tube of toothpaste to last a whole dam month........TOTAL BS
I agree with you on most of that. The only thing is the carseat laws. The kids dont know any better and can't make proper choices. Just because the parents are stupid does not mean the kids will be. Those laws are in place to protect the children from Their parents and the stupid choices adults make. Just my $0.02 not ment to offend anyone.
LOL 4'9' and below in a booster seat.... Da midget barley made it

So me and Josh are sitting in the sandhill staging area and this guy (idiot in my book) comes riding by helmetless on a raptor and goes riding down the street. same day this couple on sport quads rides through the pit and then off onto the overland trail. They had helmets on and so did the 2 very small children that were screaming on their laps. At a very young age when i started riding motorcycles my dad instilled in me a strong sense of the importance of wearing, at the very least, helmets. When i lived in Hawaii i rode sometimes without a helmet and felt like my dad was watching and was very disappointed. His view on helmets came from seeing his best friend dying in front of him in a parking lot after crashing while adjusting his carb. Don't know where i was going with that so I'll get back on track. I think Josh and Bill were making the same point about carseats, about the law being there to protect kids from stupid parents, which there are a shockingly large number of out there.

I think it's a gas price issue. I been thinking about going back to 2 wheeled transportation myself. I think i remember a Honda trail 90 getting about 95 mpg.

I been thinking about a 250 dual purpose. I think the savings in gas money would be greater than the monthly payment.
