I said it was a cool video with that exception. I didn't send a message to the person not wearing a helmet and say "You are an idiot", that would be a personal attack. I made a comment about the video. Someone else passed my words along to him.
We ride machines that can kill us even if we wear all the protective gear available. I have a good friend right now who is still stuck in bed because of injuries received from a small flip! So, in my opinion, ANYONE who rides without a helmet is an idiot!
And I don't believe Bear was banned for calling someone and idiot or a moron.

I've been thinking about this for the last couple of minutes, (not alot)
Helmet laws........ throwing Darwin a curveball, slowing the natural thinning process. TRUE
........................... taking away a persons "freedom"...........TRUE
............................helping prevent the loss of a loved one TRUE
............................potentially put in place to help save ATV riders right to ride? very possible it was put into place, as an alternative to the banning of ATV's.
Car seat / booster seat laws..... same as the top 3 above
Seat belt laws...ditto
the fact we cant fly with a tube of toothpaste to last a whole dam month........TOTAL BS

Not real sure about the rest of you but there have been a number of occasions in my life where being called an idiot, or worse, would have been appropriate to the extreme. I really try to learn from these incidents and not be a repeat offender.
With that said I must admit when doing things like pulling the brush beater or spraying weeds with the quad I don't wear a helmet. But then doing this kind of work with a tractor I don't wear one either.
As far as anyone getting bent out of shape because of a comment made about what they post here, be it written or picture form, this is a public forum. Comments are often made that may not agree with your point of view and often are made in a manner which you find offensive. That's the way this kind of free for all works. Kind of boils down to how much heat are you willing to take to put your opinions or actions up for public review.
