Bing you lucked out. We were less then 10 minutes from the pickup and Heapster rocked a steer tire, ending the ride. We saved it a bit by going to his house changing tires and riding his log roads, till the rain came. Get that thing stopping and then we'll go.

Sounds like Reiter can really take a toll on quads, how many square miles or acres is this place and can you cover the entire area in one day? Also, are there any logging type roads that you have to dodge cars on?

From what people tell me the area used to encompass much of the north side of hwy 2 (endless), but much of it has been closed down (like everywhere else).
Not much traffic,,,just the occasional 4x4.
It is a fairly large area to ride in,,,,two seperate staging areas,,,,,and from what Rod tells me,,,you can also go up to index,,,and you also have sultan just down the road (Im sure they used to all connect.
You would enjoy it Larry,,,,,and yes,,,it can be rough on the quad,,,,but only if you want it to be.

A lot of truck and a lot of money. I understand that the Triton V-10 gets about 100 miles to the tank. LOL. We've seen a few campers we really like. Trying to decide between a Camper, a Toy Hauler or a Motorhome. Of course, I gotta keep fertilizing the Money tree in the back yard and hope some day it produces a little more than leaves.

Reiter won't take a toll on your quad unless you really push it hard. A couple on the trails can get really rocky (BIG ROCKS). The trail up to the top of Index wall is rocky and tough. Worth it though. You end up on top of a rock wall about 500 feet tall above the town of Index. The other rocky trail goes to the top of a mountain with unsurpassed views. It is incredible on a clear day!
I have always ridden it with my 400EX and it has full skids. Need to get a frame skid for my 450R so I can ride to the wall.
The 4X4's usually stay on the steep technical stuff so they are moving very slowly. Not much dodging needs to be done.
It is a fun place to ride. You can even camp up there, no charge, just find a place to park it, and camp.
Let's go for a ride up there soon.
Rod
