Default Puget Sound/Seattle/Northwest Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Got a call at 11:45pm from the Tulalip Police. Found my car parked across from the old casino! I have my car back home now. Yeah! Thank you to Ron and DJ for helping me get it home.

Stereo is still in it, and almost everything is there. Found a key broken off in the ignition that they used to jimmy it, but it came out with a pair of pliers and my key still worked to start it right up. It was past empty, which is probably the only reason I got it back in one piece. They didn't have enough fuel to get it too far out of sight and couldn't totally trash it at a main intersection in mid-day.
Sorted through it a little before the officer left. Haven't found my company ID yet, of course my Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word  is gone, but I think they left most of my mail, including a bank statement and the other miscellaneous crap. Officer says they may have copied down enough info to use later, so I will put alerts on everything and keep a closer eye out here at home.
Hope they were dumb enough to ingest the horse meds that were missing.

Interesting...she said they have been finding these guys with handicapped placards in their possession when they get caught. She indicated they target front parking spots by having someone sitting in the handicapped spots watching for you to go in, then use 2-way or cell phones to notify their accomplice when they can take your car. They drive it to the next spot, park it and take another one. I will certainly be more alert from here on out. Time for some kind of anti-theft systems, even on the crappy car.

G'nite PSAR.
That's great new's Jayna, I am glad you got it back in one piece.

Funny how that works, gas is going up, diesel is going down.
It never should have been higher in the first place... diesel is step to of the refining process gasoline takes another two steps and is therefore more expensive to make

That's what Rod explained to me sometime ago, I just have to face it, they're putting the screws to us and I'm not sure there's anything we can do to combat it

That's awesome that you got your car back Jayna! Sorry you have to go through all that, especially with the bank accounts and notifying the credit companies.

Goldendale and Stan Crocker's 14 sided "round" barn made the Travel Section.

Mike
That is an interesting barn. The Crocker family moved into the valley not too long after our family and the families have been friends for years. Old Matt Crocker decided to build that barn and a local carpenter by the name of Oscar Lumijaharvi was the master carpenter on the job. My Grandfather helped with the raising of the main beams which were mostly timber-framed. The barn is well built and when I was a teenager I got "loaned out" by my Dad a couple of time to help put hay in it. Since it was designed for loose hay putting bailed hay in the loft was one heck of a job and later on Stan wanted me to come help them with putting up hay. I did with the condition I didn't have to put any in that dang round barn. I don't think they use that barn much for cattle feed hay anymore but it is still used some for horses. It's got a milk cow area with stanchions for, as I recall, six cows to be milked. It was the first barn in the area, that I know of, to have bulk grain storage bins built in.

As a side note, Oscar Lumijaharvi helped my Grandfather build several houses, including the big house on the home place in 1916, and the Centerville Grange Hall over the years.

More info than you really wanted. Sorry
