Hey Cheech, my ORV registration is valid and I carry it in my quad but I don't have the actual stickers since I switched out my plastics. Will they still let me ride?</end quote></div>
It costs about $10.00 to get replacement tags last time I did it.</end quote></div>
I would get replacement tags if I were you.
I had to get replacement tags when I shattered my airbox on the Reiter ride. My tags were on the shattered box.
Put your new ones on the frame somewhere.</end quote></div>
OK I will call DOL on monday... I just figured it didn't really matter as long as I had the valid reistration on me.</end quote></div>
Even though you would be carrying the registration on you, without tags on the quad there is no way for it to be verified that it is for that quad. Like carrying your car registration without plates. What tag number would they be able to check to see that it matches the registration?
You'd just be a tickets waiting to happen.
No need to call the DOL, just go into your local licensing agency with your registration and buy new ones.</end quote></div>
so you are saying your vin number is no good?</end quote></div>
What do you think the authorities would rather do, write you a ticket for no tabs, or look for and run your vin?
The law probably states that license and tabs need to be posted on quad. So ticket is asked for without running vin.
So basically, yes, I am saying your vin is no good. Only time I could see them cutting you slack is with a newly purchased quad where license and tabs have not be received from the state yet.
