If you want to switch over to synthetic I am sure that would be fine but I wouldn't mix the two. Drain the oil and filter then switch to synthetic if you want

In my opinion if you are going to switch to syn. you must use a oil rated for a wet clutch or you will get over lubed and have slippage issues..I recomend useing only moto cycle oil in your machines...in the 450 I run a full syn with molly but the honda has different oils for the crankcase and transmission. Is the wolvie a CVT?or just a auto clutch...If CVT it would live with auto oil but I still recomend aginst it

I honestly don't know, since I am not sure what a CVT is. The Wolvie is semi-auto. You shift, but no clutch. One shot for motor and clutch oil with it.
The stuff I have is Synthetic Castrol 4-stroke oil. MB recommended 20/50 to see if it would help the really loud ticking in the Wolvie. I bought the 20/50 in error and can't/won't run it in either Suzuki, so on the shelf it sits. Valves have been adjusted, but still ticks like a bomb.
It's desperately due for a full oil change anyway, and I know better than to mix regular and synthetic.
