The boat has a 140 Gallon tank </end quote></div>
We downgraded several years ago, after the kids were out on their own, from a 21' Carver with twin 225 Ever-rudes to a 14' Hi-Laker with a 40 on it. Easier to launch and recover and a snap to tow.
Even when the price of gas was below the buck fifty mark at the docks the cost per hour of WOT on that bigger boat was ridiculous. Course you could keep up with the freeway traffic when running on the Columbia. [img][/img]
Can't imagine what it must cost to go water skiing for a day now. [img][/img]</end quote></div>
Yeap... the parents have a 38 foot sea ray with twin 350 inboards / merc cruisers, it a a big-ol tub Towed it back from the lake once and my dad said he would never do that again. while on the trailer it is over 10 ft wide so he had to get special permits and all kinds of BS.
