Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Glad to hear Rons mon is doing well. I know that's not fun to go through. Wish her luck.

We are heading over Sat 10th or Sun 11th.

The kids will have, my youngest animal (oops I mean son) is 6 so they 'll have fun together. My duaghters are 7 and 9. The kidsitter is 17 or 18, so I think your safe hehe

Looking forward to going, I'm sure it's pretty nice there. I'd also be willing to help them out if they need anything while we are there. I know we're paying to stay, but it's always nice to help folks out. We did that last year when we went to Conconully for 8 days, helped them out and it was fun.

If you do go back to Oakwood, let us know. We'll come watch if I'm not working.

JOELRICHARD50 DO NOT READ THIS MESSAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, okay.....I'll work on him, but I have to get some details.

So here's my quetions:
#1.) How far away is it. Length of trip and/or miles?
#2.) What are the fees to participate?
#3.) What days are the best to be there?

I know he won't be able to take more than one day off work, mainly because we have all our vacation mostly used up for the year. But I might be able to talk him in to taking a friday off.

Let me know the scoop, and I'll get to working on him! I think I'll use the title to the 450R as some leverage......just have to be careful, it could backfire, he has the title to the trailer! I might have to live with you Dirtmomma!

RacerGirl, If you guys can only take one day off, might not be worth it to you. Thats a pretty long drive for only one, possibly two days.

Can't remember where you live, but Wallace, Idaho is:

358 miles from Renton
Almost a 6 hour drive

Check out the LINK in my signature for the Jamboree, will give you more info.

Myself and 5 others are riding in Bellingham tomarrow. Lots of good trails and mud.

Dirtmomma.
I drove up to the Derringer camp ground, I didn't see many trails there. I saw mostly gravel logging roads, I did see the sandy beach though. Are there trails I didn't see?

A friend offered to pay for accomodations if we go to Sand Lake with them over Memorial Day. Only cost me $75 gas. Might be hard to get something down there now, but anybody have suggestions where to stay? Either campground or Hotel.

Anybody else going to be there also? I know some are going to Coos Bay?
Sean, If ya go to Sand lakes be SURE you have a permit to get on the dunes, If no permit your trip will be wasted, the Forest Service checks at the front door and only lets the people in with a state issued permit for the memorial day weekend, (it keeps the number of QUADS & DUNE BUGGIES down in such a small area). GOOD LUCK, and if ya go have fun!!!!!!!!!

Why 22's ? Won't that gear it a little too high joelrichard?
My two cents:

I bought 20x10x10 10 paddle hauler extremes for my pred. right off the bat... used them for one weekend at sand lake. 2mnypaddlez... It would push them, but it'd leave six inch deep trenches where I was drag racing... and dig holes when trying to manouver around trees... constantly digging out.

I then bought 22x11x10 8 paddle hauler extremes... night and day difference. The larger diameter gives much more floatation in the light dry sand and the eight paddles allows for more wheel spin (yes wheel spin) to keep the r's up. It hooks up good for racing too. I had to go down a tooth in the front to have enough gears to shift going up hills.

I sold my old tires to sandbomber, which BigD is testing them out on his 450's. You may want to ask Bigdaddy what he thinks of those tires too.

Anyway, it's all preference you'll need to decide for yourself. Hope this helps.
Rod like Karl said more floatation, but even better you get your stuff one more inch out of the sand. That can mean the difference between an idiot hole and a real idiot.
