Tencubed......can I get an opinion on this P 38
I found one in a pawn shop in mint condition with the holster and a few other goodies for a very good price..........</end quote></div>
The P-38's I have fired were easy to handle and seemed to be reliable. There were a number of variations over the years and I'm not all that familiar with them as I quit trusting autoloaders a number of years ago. For target shooting, plinking and such it should be a fine handgun. The 9MM it's chambered for is one of the most popular in the world and ammo is readily available nearly everywhere.
That being said I would never again trust an auto as a personal defense weapon. In my case it was not a failure of the pistol but rather a round failed to fire. It still took two hands and time to clear and was not a fun time. Since then I have carried a wheel gun and will continue to do so. With the revolver if a cartridge fails to fire you just pull the trigger again to advance to the next round.
Take a look here http://www.chuckhawks.com/index2.guns.htm for a bunch of information you should know prior to purchasing any handgun.

TP did you SEE this LOL
I bet this guy had a pant leg full </end quote></div>
I saw the gap where the span had been on the way back from the farm this morning and wondered what had happened. That had to be loud.
They are putting those windmills up in a couple of areas near our farm. There finishing two a day at one project and just getting the other area going good. Different company so don't know how fast they will be going.
