This new Kenz lockup was the answer to the clutch problems I had when I first started making some good HP & TQ with my 700R

What's that do?</end quote></div>
Jayna, under the quick change cover is a billit aluminum ring with weights on it that bolts to the pressure plate. As RPM increases it puts force on the pressure plate and locks the clutch up. You can add or subtract weight to tune when the clutch locks up. Here's the actual lockup that bolts to the pressure plate.

That's cool. So it makes it like an autoclutch? Like the rekluse, only way better?

That looks a lot like what we called a "Flyweight Lockup Clutch" when I was drag racing many years ago. As the RPM went up the weights would add more and more force to the pressure plate and disk. These worked very well and virtually eliminated heat related clutch failures.
There was a downside to the system. When you were setting on the line and brought the engine up to launch RPM you could feel the weights pressing against the clutch thru the linkage and clutch peddle. This added load on the linkage on occasion would cause a failure and the effect was the same as sliding your foot off the side of the clutch and resulted in a violent launch. The simple solution was to strengthen the clutch linkage to handle the extra load. I can see where a similar problem could develop with this system and it may be advisable to consider strengthening the quads cables and related linkage.

That's great information. Randy was(still is if he was doing it, I am sure...)quite the Kickarse sprint car racer a while ago. I am guessing he would give me a similar answer about it.
I know Cheech had a Rekluse, which I think is a similar idea and really loved it for racing and trail, but said it really didn't do well in the sand. Since this is the application Randy is building for, I would be very curious at how well it does in the dunes trails, holeshots, etc.
Randy???

Naw, just a one legged man trying to walk with 1 crutch in the backyard with a 50 lb backpack leaf blower on his back. He went over like a turtle on it's back, lol.
I tried not to laugh but I failed...it was pretty freaking funny. He was ok and laughing too after a couple of minutes.
