The Craptor is all better now, runs like a top (even though it's jetted alittle too big for winter conditions, don't think I want to jet down for one ride)

Then again NOW I don't know if we'll be going I know I know this happens everytime BUT if we are told to get working on the house then that has first priority of course so we will play it by ear

Good late morning PSAR.
Yesterday was day 1 of our snowboard lessons. We had a blast. 2 hour lesson, then the rest of the day to practice. We started on the baby bunny hill, then moved to the magic carpet bunny hill. After that was the beginner chair lift if we dared.
Ricky has no fear. He was the first one to go up on the chair lift with his kids class. He able to go up on his own and get his board buckled up and everything. His style is not pretty, but he wins for bravery. I had to finally make him stop around 5 because it was dark and time to head for home (had the crockpot going)
Michael did pretty good too. He was starting to finally get it and then twisted his knee so he was done for the day around 4:00.
I was doing ok til the binding strap on my board gave up the ghost. I finally got the nerve to go up the chair lift and try and come down and I kept falling cause my foot kept coming off the board. I couldnt get the strap to hold and finally had to walk down the rest of the way.
Snoqualmie was awesome yesterday - light snow off and on, little to no wind, no crowds or lines - we couldn't have asked for better. We had coffee, cocoa, snacks, water, etc in the burb, so we could take a couple of breaks and enjoy.
Two more lessons to go. We did the 1-2-3 ride package that includes 3 lessons, rentals, and beginner lift tickets for $99.
We're a little sore, but not as bad as I feared.
Have a great weekend everyone.

question for psarians:
my buddy got a quad for his 9 year old son (a used kawi bayou 250)
the boy and dad dont have any power-toy experience,,,,so i began lobbying for he and dad to take a class asap
what is the best way to get him enrolled in an atv safety class,,,,keeping in mind that his atv is rated for a 16 year old
also,,what are some atv kid racing events coming up that he and his dad might enjoy attending?
he may post on here eventually as i turned him onto the thread,,,,this buddy and his son would make fine psarians</end quote></div>
More than likely the 9 year old will not be allowed to take the rider safety course on the 250. He will have to take it on a 90 or smaller.
The guys teaching the rider course are required to follow the manufactureres recommendations for quad size/age of rider.
Go here for course info. Les, the owner of ATV Action Tours also teaches the safety course. Give him a call.

Well, the Grizzly has new used tires, Maxxis Bighorns F 27x9x12 R 27x12x12. These slightly used tires have 5/16ths taller lugs than the brand new stockers at half the cost.
Gotta order up some 450 and 660 clutch weights, too bad everything won't be ready for the Reiter Ride. I guess I just run them with the stock weights, but, I'd lose quite a bit of low end power and torque, wonder if it'd make that much difference at Reiter?
Thanks Dazeys
