Had our 1st HRCA ATV/Dirt meeting this morning & came up w/ some ideas for group rides, we're thinking maybe August/Sept we could get a bunch of people together for a BBQ meet & greet/camp-out maybe @ Darrington the 1st one wuold mainly be to see what kind of riders there are & how they ride, motorcycles are also included in this to start but I did tell them that alot of m/c guys don't like riding the same trails as ATV'ers so we'll just see. As of now there are NO dues, if there comes a time when we got some good member #'s going & wanted T shirts ect then it would probably be $10 yr. so thats not bad, we're also thinking of a Poker Run also sooooooooooo if I could I would like to get a name/email list of people interested in becoming a part of this club there will be newsletters sent via email to keep costs down so we don't have to pay for now. You DON'T have to be a member of the HRCA either
WEll if anyone is interested my email is sandvig4@juno.com & you can send you info there w/ HRCA club inthe subject line!!
thanks for listening once again hope everyone is having a good day, I"m kickin it in front of the AC on the computer AHHHH what a life, waiting for the new pool to warm up some then I'll be in there!!

I gotta make this quick I'm on the computer that controls the water flow into the town of Newhaven, Hope their not flooding down there. Larry and Nick how was that Poker run? Myself and Coco Boy have found some riding out of Rockport under our lines. I did break a tie rod end though. I think it was previously tweaked, possibly all those ruts at Belfair. Lukily we have our own mechanic up here with great welding skills and he was able to put it back together until I get back to the city. You all be safe now and have fun I got another week or so but that just means a couple more good rides in the evenings if were not to bushed.

Rock Candy Poker Run:
Nickli (Nick), Rapbw01 (Jim), Rapbw01's Son (James) and myself rode together, 40 miles, 25 trails, 15 logging roads, trails included Rock Candy West, Molly Porter #3, North Rim #1, Logging roads included B Line and the Porter Creek Campground Area, 125 riders, give or take a couple. The trails were very well marked, they offered water and cookies at each checkpoint and the quads and bikes got along very well, no problems encountered by us. Nick layed his quad on its side once, I layed mine on its side once, both were no big deal, just picked them up and rode on.
They gave awards to the furthest traveler and the oldest, well the oldest broke his arm, and the furthest traveler was his son, so neither were there to collect their trophies, I believe they're gonna UPS them. Nick was the 3rd oldest rider there, that stuck around for the ceremonies. Winning hand was 4 queens, I didn't have anything, bought raffle tickets, struck out there also.
Trails were dusty, muddy, rocky and just plain narly, but there were times airing it out in 3rd gear felt really good. Talked to a couple riders about the terrain compared to Tahuya, they were at the Tahuya Poker Run, they said the Rock Candy Poker Run was alot tougher, some of the rock climbs were beating the tar out of us.
After the ride we had hotdogs, watermelon & cantelope thanks to Valerie and Berta, and sat around enjoying conversation about the ride and the days activities. Overall it was a great day spent with friends and riding the trails.
Highlight of a day spent riding under the hot sun was the Baskins & Robbins we enjoyed on the way home. Can't wait for Easton

Right now I'm on the laptop, watching Dazeys,Jeepitis, and crew ride Walker Valley and drinkin beer. I don't think it gets any better then this. Oh wait it can, it will cool down 10 degrees and go riding myself.
Dazey, these videos rock, or should the props go to jeepitis?
