So. Cali Trails: Bowen Ranch
#1
Anyone ever ride the trail system all the way up to Bowen Ranch from Hesperia? One of my favorite riding spots right now is that trail
that goes from just north of the Mojave River Forks Res. (access from deep creek road in Hesperia). I've rode about half ways there and the trails turns into single track, very rutty. Cool place to ride, you can post up along side the wash at the base of the trailhead (Mojave River).

I have not ridden that area in years. Will have to check it out again sometime. From there, you should be able to connect to the National Forest roads, and ride up to Big Bear or Arrowhead.
Have you ridden the Pinnacles trails behind Arrowhead???

I live about 2 minutes from the powerline rd and the Mojave river (I'm right off of Deep Creek rd) . Guess you could say that I have been up there a few times!
Saw a big'ol mojave Green rattlesnake at the lower hot springs parking lot 2 weeks ago. Dude had eleven rattles!
You can go all the way up to Holecomb Valley or over towards Silverwood or Arrowhead if you take the right trails.
If you ever see the tree that someone carved into a hitchhiker with a chainsaw stop. They also carved a bear and an indian out of dead trees near by. Kinda cool.
Hey Recon: Did you get the E-mail I sent you? They are gonna start charging to go to Dumomt, Stoddard and Johnson valley.

Ty Davis practices out there and he has a deal with the Sheriff's. He can ride in exchange he keeps an eye on the place.
