So. Cali Trails: Bowen Ranch
Chris-I did get your e-mail. Usually I don't mind paying for something when I am getting something for my money. Most people wouldn't mind some bathrooms at the staging areas. But, I think this will end up like the National Forest "Adventure Pass". With that, they used our money to buy more new trucks and hire more new rangers, so they could drive around and check to see if we all have Adventure Passes. A sort of welfare jobs program!!

I feel the same way. If the fee's were used for maintenance, toilets, campgrounds or medical help I would have no problem paying.
I'm not about to pay so they can donate my $$$ to the Sierra Club!
Wonder how they plan on collecting. Dumont is easy as there is only one way in. Johnson and Stoddard have many ways in.

Here ya go
Heres a list of places to ride in So.Cal. Strangly the bowen Ranch area is not on it although it is a legal place to ride.
Find your way to I-15 north. Get off at Main Street Hesperia, go east through town. Once through town look for peach ave.
Go about 1/4 mile past peach, you will go from a 4 lane rd to a 2 lane rd. You are now on Arrowhead lake rd.
Just as Arrowhead curves right you need to turn left on Rocksprings rd. Go to the only stoplight and turn right on Deep Creek rd.
Follow the paved street untill you see the large metal power lines.
You can park here and ride or drive up the powerline rd to the top and park somewhere up there.
