Does anyone know of any other place to ride around this area? We are from the north central louisiana area and we loved the dunes but not so much with these new rules.

I was at the Dunes this past weekend and Barney has changed some of the rules and pricing. He says it is due to insurance and neighbor compliants about the noise. You can no longer ride at night and no swimming. Pricing has went up from 15$ a day to 20$ and from 25$ per weekend to 30$ (per bike of course). Camping pricing is the same. 15$ night and tent camping is free. So I guess it goes without saying that at 130$ for us to get in the gate, plus 80$ for gas for our motorhome & wheelers and 100$ for food.......we were very dissappointed. We live 2 1/2 hours from Alexandria and we didn't make it there until about 10:30 Friday night. Barney is also closing the outer gate at 10:30 sharp. He has put up gates at almost every entrance to the sand. You must be out of the dunes by dark or your butt is locked in there. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

If anyone know of a place similar to the dunes please let me know. We have no place to ride our wheelers.
