Silver Lake

Silver Lake is a fun time...but it gets boring after a while. I take my ZR2 out there once in a while and it's not too bad, but I have yet to take my quad out there. Should be a good time for you guys. You'll definately see some interesting vehicles out there.

Well....I don't know about the tires. I'm sure you'll be fine....just hammer it down and away you go. Just be careful when you get to the top of the hills. You don't want to be the guy that flies over the top of the hill then goes rolling down the other side. I have a buddy who took his Sportman out there a few weeks ago. He did just fine, from what he said, but he didn't let off of the throttle when he got close to the stop and he went tumbling down the other side of the hill. He cracked the axle and did a lot of other damage to it as well. Are you familar with the dunes or dune riding? Are you going with people who have experience?
You should be find in the drag strip. It's just a part of the beach where quads, dirt bikes, trucks go and race eachother. It's just a nice piece of flat ground where water usually sets. I don't know how much rain they've had up there so I don't know if the sand will be wet & packed or light & easy to go through.

Uh Silver Lake in Calif.? If so I have been there a few years, but not quad riding I'm up there because of 4-H camp. But I hope to go try the trails sometime. If somewhere else then I never heard of the place.

Hey speedy, my son told me you were chatting on MSN, he gets a little goofy on there, he is not into quads, but likes video games, so you can chat with him about games.....anyway I was there not to long ago with a stock 250ex no paddles, It got along just fine, usually only 2 of the hills have razors but watch out for them...I don't think you will win many drags with no paddles, but the drags are fun to watch. Have fun.
