Heres the scope, im from ny, and i ride in Lewis County. Thousands of trails are there that are open to the public if you are insured and regesterd. Can ride on pavement or the groomed trails. If you are looking to find a place to stay there is a place called the Old Sawmill Inn, in Lowville NY. Trails are right down the street from there and they sell maps. It is a beautifull place to ride in. It is for all the different types of riders. There is mud, and there are senic rides, there are also many sand dunes for the sport quads. The number for the Sawmill Inn is (315)376-9950. Ask for Kathy or Bill.

Tug hill is being downsized, lots of trails have just been banned thanks to idiote riders, so you have not much to ride in Tug Hill anymore.

I have heard that they are closing many trails in Herkimer county, on the border of the ADK park, due to bunny humpers and land owners having enough of the noise but I hadn't heard anything about Tug Hill closures. Please explain where you got this information, I'd like to see it for myself.

Not so much the land owners but the Horse Riders that ride on our trails that we pay for. It least Lewis is still open though.

But who knows how long that lasts. I was there just yesterday and i talked to a local and they said there thinking of banneing all of NY from riding. But i dont think they will, the state gets alot of money from us with the registrations.

Hey Tbone, are there any campgrounds near or on the trails that I can put up a popup camper on for a place to stay instead of doing a hotel room? out near Montague inn is a state pull off and i saw a guy with a motor home camping there but I figured the state would have a fit over it..
