Default Only For New jersey

I might have to attend a meeting, I need time though. One thing though I an not a fan of riding in circles in parks, nor am I a fan of a trail that is 1 or 2 miles long. I like riding in the open, the pine barrans, the medows, forrest's. The problem here is these nimbys are one set minded, and so are the tree huggers. I have'nt rode in over a year, but this happens when you get married and buy a house, but I got spoiled riding down in tuckerton (exit 58 off parkway), and in the pine barrans around chatsworth (rt 72). I also know that the parks will lead to better support over the years, so I do support getting these parks started, I however will contine to do what I've been doing, when its safe to ride.

Warpigs i'm sure you've rode in frenchies pit if you've rode in tuckerton. But any way if you have, do you remember around three years ago when the cops cut down the trees at the hill climbs so you cant climb them. That is some bs. I also like riding the barrens it's like an a little city for quads. You can ride up to gas stations and fill up,you can go to the pub,you can go to the pinecone and get icecream, you can evan ride up to the movie theater in manahawkin. You can ride from salem county down south all the way to almost lakewood.

Yeah man that trail will take you almost anywere, the scary part is crossing the GSP, to get to the west side. I don't remember what the names of any of the pits were, but the one used to like was the one with the small lakes in it. They had like 100 to 200 ft hill climbes all the way in the back, next to one of the lake's. The last time I was there though alot had been excavated and it seemed to be getting smaller. How's it been in the past year with the Law around that area?

Before all the development you could have done those trips several different ways.

Some of the trips I used to take were too long for the bike, and we used to take the jeep or truck etc, and even then had to stop for fuel more than once on the longer ones.

Things have changed a whole lot in the last 15-20 years, and living in central or south NJ isnt what it used to be for the typical rider, but there also needs to be more change in the future that will make up for all the places where no one cared who rode on etc that are now little more than profits in the developers pocket (and the towns too thru tax ratables), and unless the state loosens up with allowing private business to create large enough areas or parks (I am not talking no 500 acres either) then the only remaining area that we have a legal (constitutional right also) right to is the state forrests.

Its funny when you consider that both the fed and state park/forrest sytems were created, and having wording in their acts that they were being created (remember they had to take the land from someone, and therefore show cause etc) for the use of the average citizens to have an open area for their recreation. Its almost like the politicians and enviro nuts have snubbed their noses at the common man, and the actual purpose of the creation of these parks in the first place.

Sorry for the rant, but this BS just pissses me off, and I need to blow off some smoke now and then

I wouldn't know as far as the law go's because i moved to maryland a few years back. They developed dumps pit and is now all houses. So thats one pit down. Now what is left is frenchies, wimpies, thomas ave. The place i think your talking about is wimpies or thomas ave. They are always moving dirt hear and i learned that almost the hard way. One day we were riding in thomas ave and a hill that i usually would shoot up and back down was cut off on the other side. Damn i'm glad that my breaks were good that day. Would of been a 50 to 75 foot freefall. The barrens is fun to ride everywere but the best place in my opinion is off of the gsp, exit 69 in waretown called the powerlines or lacey pits. Haven't been there in a few years either. Heard the piggys are getting real strict at that place cause the state bought the land that everyone use to ride on.
