My boyfriend and I are planning on going up to Cravens this weekend to ride. Has anyone ever been there? Is it any good?
We have ridden at Camp Livingston before. That is one freaky, scary place. There is either a mental institution or a state penn up there. We went riding with another couple. Each couple was on one bike one night and we ran across a group of probably 10-12 bikes with the rebel flags and shotguns. We pretty freakied out about that. there is also all kinds of witchcraft stuff up there. When we got back, we read about some guys who had their trucks vandalized while they were there.
We have also been to Camp Clairborne a couple of times. We actually got shut down one weekend because of the rain. A ranger threatened to give all of us tickets, all 15 bikes of us.
I can't seem to find a website with the Cravens grounds on it either. If any one about one besides www.southernregion.fs.fed.us.\kistachez, let us know.

Cravens is also known as the Enduro Camp or the Enduro Trails. I believe there is only one marked loop, it appears to be around 30 miles long. You don't have to stay on marked trails though. Riding is pretty good there.

Never been riding in Texas but we do ride in Mississippi every now and then on the Homochitto River on Hwy. 33 north of Gloster. It is a huge beach and most people just drag race since there are really no trails to speak of.

I don't guess anybody rides in Louisiana anymore. Our LA riders chat section has fallen 5 pages back and the last post was 7 days ago.
So I have decided to give it a bump...
I found me a new place to ride the Barnewll Mountain Rectreaction Area in Gilmer,Texas. Many of you probably its probably old news to you but not me.I was reading the latest issue of DirtWheels and found a 4 page right up about it.I think its only about 2 and a half to 3 hours from me.Cant wait to go there to see if I can pound out 5 hard laps in two hours on the nine-mile course.
