littlered- is Mahwah worth the ride? Large area? Police? safe parking?

Desperately seeking new ridding areas close by. tired of driving 1-2 hours for decent riding

I heard that there's riding in Wawayanda state park in Vernon. Ever been?

I wouldn't ride in Waywayanda, the rangers will be after you. You'd have better luck riding Sterling Forest because it is much larger and less rangers. Try riding up in Maybrook, NY behind the Yellow Freight terminal.

Yes it is worth the ride it is a multiple terrain enviroment, many places for speed and many for mud bogging

are you talking about the pipeline in mahwah? That's where I've been and it rocks!! for ATV's. I took my CR500 there and it was a little shakey. but for ATVs and trucks, it's good. never been hassled there

How exalty do you get behind the sheridan? I doubt you just pull in the parking lot drop your quad and go.

No you go down Route 17 North to almost the end and get off at the exit that says Sharp Plaza Only. Then follow the road along the highway and go up the little hill towards the Advertisment for off track betting. Then park at the top on the road or park down in the woods. The woods are a lot shadier. No hassiling unless you ride on the Sheridan's Front lawn. Or on the highway racing cars. Safe Parking. Good terrain. Swamp is a little dry right now. Pretty dusty. Nice whoops on the old train tracks. VERY FUN i was there on Sunday was any one else there

is the terrain rocky? I'm currently buzzing on a CR500. I ride the pipeline alot in mahwah. there's a road that goes behind a truckstop. Some spots it gets a little tough and I havn't even gotten out of 2nd gear yet.I usually go 4-wheelin with my truck there.

Behind the sheritan crossroads isnt rocky. You can even go across a river to the other side of the Ramapo River and go behind some DPW grounds, and there's a little race track back there for quads, or you can forge the river, trust me almost andthing can forge it. You can also go up on the service road by the highway, and follow it into NY State. Its awesome. I went there last sunday, 7/9, and i crushed the rear bearings in my warrior. -Brian
