As of right now, My wife and I are coming. We are going down the weekend prior, but what the heck, might as well go two weekends in a row. I have one more obstacle to clear and we will definitely be coming. Looking forward to it.

I might be interesde in going. I have never been up there. It would take us at least 4 hours to get there from Louisville KY and was wondering if you think it would be worth it? If I were to go my friend rides a KX250 without a spark arrester. Do they check for spark arresters? I don't have any registration just the title. Is that enough?

Eric, there's no way that you'd be dissapointed on the way home. We have about 3.5 hours of travel and it's worth every minute to get there! It is in the rules though, you must have a valid registration on any atv or dirtbike to ride the forestry....a title might not cut it if you get checked. The spark arrester is not as important as the registration sticker. You should be able to pick up a temporary sticker at any local dealer with your title. There are some pics below...

ATV motorists under the age of sixteen do not need a trail permit but registration is manditory.

You must have your state registration sticker, as well as the daily/season pass sticker to ride the trails. I hear it is a $140 fine to be caught without one of them. The place is awesome to ride.

"There are two types of permits, daily or seasonal. The daily permit is $5 per person per day. Day is defined from
midnight to midnight on that day. The seasonal permit is $25 per person per season. The season is from April 16th
through December 14th. Permits are required for trail users who are 16 years and older." that is from the web site. thanks for poasting any way http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/wayne/

Hey Steve, Scott here, from just outside cleveland Ohio. Finally someone wants to ride, everyone I know just leaves them sit in their garage. Can you give me directions there, and I will show up, cant wait to ride!!!!!!!. Also how do you get the daily pass to ride, I already have the state sticker, what else do I need?? Looking forward to hearing from you. Scott

One note on the registering. If your quad does not have a title, even if it was registered before, you have to have the quad inspected and then get a title, then get registered. Then of course get the federal permit(Daily or seasonal), for Wayne, since it's a National Forest.
However, you can get a temporary registration (White Ohio sticker) before you get your quad inspected. All new quads come with titles, so it's no biggie, but for the older quads, get ready to jump through some beauracratic hoops!!
