I was just reading dirt-wheels mag and I saw a picture of people in the North Sand Dunes in Walden Colorado. I found Walden in the Northwest part of the state but was wondering if anyone knows anything about this place or any other sand dunes in Colorado. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Well, i live in colorado, and i have been to the sand dunes. Beleive me, its not a motosports park, its a park where you can climb them, the picture might have been on the other side of them 3 miles back. I don't think its a park back there.

I have ridden the Walden dune's quite a few times since I first went there in the mid 80's. They have become very busy during the summer time . I like to go on an off weekend and spend a little time in the dunes and most of my riding is on the forest roads to the north of the dunes. The dunes are not very big, depending on what kind of dune's you are used to. They are fun and in a beaultiful part of the state though. These are the only dunes you can ride in Colorado. ditto on the above web page, lots of good pics of the dunes.
