Anyone been to Wambaw near Charleston, SC
#2
Nope! I hate to admit it, but Wambah is the worst place I have ever ridden. The terrain is flat and the trails are as whooped out as you can possibly get. "Mudders" have destroyed the place to the point that at the first sign of rain the place gets shut down to protect wetlands near the trails. You never know when the place is going to be closed!
Since you're in Asheville, I suggest Coal Creek (Windrock ATV Club) near OakRidge TN. Burke Mt. near Welch and Bluefield WV is nice too. I heard it is being added to the Hatfield McCoy trail system (which is the best IMHO).
If you're wanting a place near Charleston, there are 4 spots you will pass near on the way to Charleston on I-26. Enoree, Parsons Mt. and Cedar springs are pretty nice and well maintained. These trails are about an hour from Spartanburg, SC. Go to thier website and look at the bottom of the page for the OHV links and more info. Another trail is the Manchester state park near Sumter, SC. I don't have a link but I'm sure you can find it by searching.
Good luck!
