Hondaperson;
There is a large area here in North Alabama that I ride when deer-hunting season is over. It is the area east of New Market, AL and west of Princeton. There are many, many trails in there, but it is all private land and leased to hunters. I've ridden nearly every bit of it in mid-week when hunting season is over. It is usually totally deserted. The State owns some of it, but most of it is privately owned. A 4WD is definitely needed in that "mountainous" area. Access is becoming more and more limited by landowners owning land adjacent to the area, but it is still accessible from Hurricane Creek Road. I've got all the trails entered into my Lowrance GPS, so I really can't get lost in it any more. On weekends, the younger set likes to do "mudding" and MX style riding, so I don't ride then. (Its great being retired!) It is quite a ways from Crossville, so I'm not sure you want to travel that far.

I've been to Westpoint, TN, several times with a friend. I don't like it as well as northern AL because it is farther away and doesn't offer much more appealing terrain, although lots of younger riders like it. I saw many Honda 400EX's there one weekend. Just not my cup of tea.

There is a place just north of Waterloo,AL in Tennesse. Not much mud but lots of creek crossings and can ride up/down creek for a long ways. (<U>creek is gravel/solid rock bottoms no mud</U>) Water falls. And trails through clear cut hills and power line right-of-ways. Lots of people ride there in summer. But there is always talk of closeing it. Been going up there since 1999. Plan on going again as soon as it gets warmer or after turkey season is over ( the whole month of April)
