Riding in the Mississippi and New Orleans Area

Are there any open areas to ride around New Orleans or in Mississippi? We'll be traveling from St Louis through Memphis and on down to New Orleans in mid-March. I'd like to find some riding, preferably sand, somewhere along the way. Any chance of there being beaches to ride on legally?
Thanks,
Pat

Hey I am just getting back into riding and I am still trying to find places down here too.
Here are a few that I know of:
If you like sand dunes this is good but might be a little out of the way
LA DUNES
If you going down to New Orleans there is a big riding area out at the spillway - The club South LA Trailblazers do a lot of work on it.(I am suprised none of them replied to you thread) Here is the link to info about the spillway:
Spillway
Also on I-55 near Wesson, MS there is a riding area called Timberlanes however I have never been there and cannot tell you how good it is.
There are a lot of places down here that people know about maybe they will post a response for you, but I hope I helped you with the few I know about.

Timberlake Dude Ranch in Wesson, MS (one hour south of Jackson, off I-55) is about the only place i know of that's in your route.
no sand, but lots of trails and mud (if you want mud, or you can bypass it if you don't).
it costs $5 per ATV per day.
looks like an old KOA campground, if you like to camp.
theres a truckstop at the Wesson exit, they can give you directions.
i just found out about this forum, or i would have answered sooner.
btw, there's a club down there that has a website. contact with them might be a good thing in finding more places to ride.
