Does anyone know what kind of permits are required to ride in the Nat. forests and state parks in both PA and MD? Also do i need to register my ATV in Md with MVA?

Riding National Forest land in PA requires SOME state registration; if your home state does not register ATV's, then PA registration as an out-of-stater ($ 10/year) is o.k.

I ride the Allegheny Nat Forest every year on memorial day,. they do require registration or out of state pass. but i have never been checked or stopped (havent registered since i bought my quad 5 years ago). Also i have never seen the ranger back on trails, only volunteers who only check on trail conditions.
