Salamanca, NY spring dice run

I heard it is April 24th for those that are interested. Lots of mud, water and a few hill climbs. It's a good ride. Don't know what their charging these days though $15-$20 ?

Taking rt 88 to rt 86/17 East go about 350 miles. It's just before Jamestown second exit for Salamanca go right then your first left.
I don't want to discourage you but 12 hrs of driving for 4 to 5 hrs of riding hardly seems worth it to me.

Should be fun with all the rain lately. I heard they added some trails to make it longer, back to the 35 mile range. Can anyone confirm this?

Yeah we have 12 riders set up to go as well but it will probably end up like 8 when the time comes. What kind of rules and regulations should we expect when we get there or is there a website that explains this. I'm assuming registration, insurance, etc... but it would be nice to know so there are no surprises.

Not much in the way of rules other than the normal, helmet needed, no double riding and you must register and get a wrist band. If caught without they will impound your quad. It's fairly easy to cheat this so they strictly enforce it. In the past I have never been asked for reg. or ins. It starts at noon I would get there by 11 at the latest to get registered on time or you could do like us, we typically will let all the fast rowdy riders go first and let them get about 30 minutes ahead of us. The bottle necks in the begining are pretty congested, until riders get strung out.
The dice run is run on Indian reservation land so they set the rules. They even allow and sell beer, cheap. Not the best but it's their right.
The best advise I can give is prepare for a lot of mud and water. Probably a lot of people too. They carry your fuel can to a designated spot at the halfway point for those that wanted/needed it.
I missed it last year. It was the first year I did not go to one since 1990 so they're may have been some rule changes that I'm not aware of.
