Yes ! The only trails I have been on in northern Co. are the ones around the Never Summer range just west of Rocky mountain park. The forest access road is off of hiway 14 in Gould Co. and heads south... the best features are Baker Pass and the ghost
town of Teller City. I have covered many of the trails in central and sothern Co. , but would like to hear more about ones in northern Co.

Ballard Road in the Buckhorn Canyon between Loveland and Fort Collins is a good place to ride. DONT CAMP OVERNIGHT. It is a party meca for the local kids and I garentee you wont get any sleep and may possably get run over at 3 A.M. by some stoned 4 wheelers.

West of Loveland on hiway 34 to Rd. 27. North to Massonville, bear left on Rd. 27 at the T in the road and go(aprox 10-12 miles?) to Rd 44H. West on 44H 10 miles to Ballard Rd. There is also some other trails before Ballard Rd and you can see where people have unloaded. Havent been on all trails but the ones I have been on are easy. Is on forest service roads but can run into private land on either side.

I am not to sure where avondale is but the previous post about the never summer range has some mud and a few stream crossings. Just got back from that area today. Went up to Gould for a four day camping trip with my buddy. Most of the trails up there you can get a Pinto up. Most of the trails deadend to trailheads for the continental divide trail system. If you head about 15 miles southeast in Routt National forest there are some more extensive trail networks. It closes after labor day for the mating of elk. You will have to watch out for the logging trucks. There is an extensive amount of logging going on. They have bar and Inn in gould that has plenty of cold beer, good food, and a friendly bartender.

I'm headed out on vacation tomorrow. It will be 7 glorious days of atv ridding and soaking in the scenery in Colorado's high country. 1st headed to the St. Elmo area to ride the "Tin Cup pass, Cumberland pass, and Hancock pass loop" then Mt. Antero and Mt. Princeton. Then were on to the Schofield pass area , north of Crested Butte to check out the Lead King Basin and Schofield road to Crystal and Marble. With a little hiking, camping and rock hounding along the way , I think this will be a great trip.
I'll let you know how the new Polaris handles high elevation and how it performs.
