Went with my friend dan today. Did the #33 loop, about 20-25 miles. Conditions were perfect, very little dust, with plenty of mud holes to keep it interesting. We ran across a dumped, and stripped toyota 4runner, it looks like it was stolen from a used car dealer in reno. It was left on a gravel bar in the middle of the middle fork of the cosumnes river. I wrote the serial # down and took the temp. nevada tag off it so i can see what i can do to get it towed out of there. It's way back in there though, and would be interesting to watch a tow truck get back in there.

Hey Ed, Your best bet is to stop at the ranger station in pioneer, or pine grove, i always get them mixed up. It's the last town as you go up 88. These people are the best, they have free maps and plenty of advice. I walked out of there with a whole fist full of maps, all highlited with some great trips that i can't wait to try. I don't think i've seen tax dollars better spent, they really impressed me with their knowledge and courtesy. Pipi couldn't be any easier to find, you take omo ranch road off of 88, you can only turn left. Go about a mile, you'll see north south road, take that. Go down the hill couple of miles and you'll run into the first launch point. look for the sign for trail 33 take that in either direction and you'll do about a 20 mile loop. There are plenty of other trails to ride also.
