I've road the Kalkaska trails many times. The routes are very smooth with alot of turns.
You can ride fast or just cruise on these routes. There is many trails that intersect these routes. The trails will handle any size atv. I like the trail south of 72 the best. There is a gas station that can be accessed by your atv on 72. I might be up there myself that weekend. The parking lot is on m72.

Well I'm back from kalkaska, 1st we rode the Fredrick loop, then we rode the south Kalkaska trail. Two of my friends have honda 650's so it was some wild riding for me trying to keep up. It poured rain saturday morning before we started so the trails were great, no dust! Not much water either. We liked the trails alot. Fredrick is flat and Kalkaska had minimal whoops, just the way we like it. We rode 91 miles saturday and about 30 sunday morning. Not many people this time of year. I want to get to the Mounds before May 15 to check out the scramble course. My friends went and say it's a ----hole. I live so close that I've got to see for myself. Thanks again for the imfo atvnut.
