yeah i headed up tomorrow. we'll probably be up there about the same time. Were going to stage at 9n40, just keep going down north south, across the river, pass the campground, across the cattle guard. You'll come to a crossroad, just before elkins flat, we'll be on the right. Light brown dodge pickup.

Great...I drive a White Dodge Extended Cab, We staged at 5 corners last time. Just trying to get my bearings strait. If i were pulling out of Pipi camp ground and went right, up the hill..will that bring me to 9n40.

New to forum (and have new ATV's too). Been heading up to El Dorado Nat'L forest frequently for short day rides and just did an overnighter. Picked up the map from the forest service... not very useful. Seems like most of the roads are paved... however, lots of clearing lately on the fire roads.

There's a group of 4 of us (husband & wife, guy and gal friend) that are getting into it and looking for others and more places to ride. Have not gone much further up Ice House road than the first summit (not as far as Robbs)... any recommendations? Also interested in Hwy 88 area... sounds great.

Welcome to the board House, We have been up to the PiPi area twice now. Nice to area to ride, for both expieranced and begginers. The first time we went we stayed on mostly service roads, and begginer trails, as my mother came along with us. The second time was last weekend, and we met Roger from the board and went on a great ride up to the fire look out tower, a little more advance, not sure if I could coax "Ole Mom" up there. There seems to be alot more area up there to ride for all levals, and its not a mad house of people like some areas we have been. We generally go with Myself, Wife, Mom and Dad. Planning another trip up in June sometime, if you would like to meet up.
